Employment agencies
A large share of jobs for new arrivals goes through agencies (uitzendbureaus). What matters is knowing what to ask and having it in writing.
There are no entries yet. Ruta NL does not publish an agency without having checked its details, and it has no agreements with any.
What to ask an agency, in writing
- How many hours a week do you guarantee?
- Which collective agreement (CAO) applies?
- What is deducted from my pay, and how much: housing, insurance, transport?
- What happens to the housing if the job ends?
- Can I register with the municipality at that address?
What we will require before publishing an entry
- Legal name and company registration number checked in the public register.
- Official website checked and linked.
- If it claims a sector label or certification, checked in that label’s public register, with a date.
- Housing information taken from a public document of the agency, with link and date.
- Date of the last check visible on the entry; without a date, it is not published.
- No entry is called “verified” without that evidence on file.
Agency directory
There are no checked listings yet. A listing is published once a person has checked the agency in the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) register and, if it claims a quality mark, in the SNA register.
How to check an agency yourself
Before you sign, look the agency up in these public registers. If it claims a quality mark, it must appear in the SNA register. According to WorkinNL, from 2027 all agencies will need approval to operate.
